Apple and pear seedlings for wildlife plantings — and a straight explanation of what a fruit seedling is and is not, because this is where a lot of nurseries get vague.
Read this before you buy. These are seedlings, grown from seed. Apple and pear do not come true from seed — a seedling grown from a Liberty apple is not a Liberty apple, it is its offspring, and the fruit will be its own thing. Usually smaller, often tart, sometimes not worth eating.

Apple seedlings
Grown from Liberty and Freedom apple seed. Both parents were bred specifically for disease resistance, which is the single biggest reason backyard apple trees fail in Iowa.
How they are selected
We raise these seedlings deliberately next to cedar-apple-rust host trees. Rust pressure hits them young and hard, and the ones that cannot handle it show it early. Only the survivors get sold.
That does not make them immune. It means the weak ones were culled here instead of dying in your field three years after you planted them.
Pear seedlings
Grown from top disease-resistant pear parents including Kieffer, chosen because pears live or die on fire blight resistance in this climate.
Pears hang later than most apples, which makes them useful for stretching a wildlife food plan deeper into fall. Same honesty applies: these are seedlings, not named cultivars, and they are planted for wildlife.

You buy the trees
Order the grafted cultivars you want from a fruit nursery. Named varieties on a known rootstock are the only way to get predictable fruit.
We plant and protect
We handle delivery to the site, planting, mulch ring, and whatever protection the ground calls for — tube and post, or full caging if you run livestock. Mulch is included in the install price.
You get a plan
Spacing, pollination pairing, and a care sheet so the trees you paid good money for actually make it to bearing age.
To be clear: culinary fruit is a planting service, not a seedling sale. We do not sell grafted apple or pear trees. You purchase them, we install them.
This is normally part of a larger planting plan we build with you rather than a one-off job — we are usually already out on your ground putting in nut trees or wildlife trees, and your fruit trees go in as one piece of that plan.
